Integrated Reliable Structures

The Structural Engineering is a branch of civil engineering, which directly correlates itself with the analysis and design of structures. The optimum designed structural model is bound to follow standard basic criteria’s of safety, and Performance.

Designing a Basic Structural Model

The adequately designed buildings would be helpful in saving lives and indeed the properties from the unpredicted failures of the structures. The aim of reinforced cement concrete design is the achievement of an acceptable performance during their intended life. With an appropriate degree of safety it should sustain the entire load and the deformation of normal construction and use and have adequate durability and adequate resistance to the effect of misuse and fire. To be a consummate designer, one has to forge ahead to deal with the various structures of different ranges from simple ones (like the simple beam) to more complex ones (like multi-stored frame building, ribbed slab, shell roofs, steel towers, bridges) etc.

These structures are subjected to various loads like ;
•    Concentrated loads,
•    Uniformly D loads
•    Uniformly V loads
•    Random loads or internal
•    External and dynamic loads

The structure transfers its load to the extended support and ultimately to the ground foundation. While transferring the loads acting on the structures, the members of the structure are subject to internal forces like axial forces, shear forces, bending and torsion moments. Structural analysis comprises of physical laws and mathematics required to study in order to predict the behavior of various structures and their respective performance on different grounds. Thus now with these structural designs, construction has become a lot easier.
